Energetic founder and owner of the business, concentrating on quality control, accountability and delivery across the business, the management and training of staff, and Capstone’s interface with clients and new business. Rory is a Chartered Surveyor and was elected as one of Who’s Who’s Elite Young Business Professionals in 2010.
Marvin is Capstone’s affable oracle of building knowledge. A Building Surveyor with over 35 years experience of basement construction and structural works, he is also Capstone's senior in-house Quantity Surveyor. He trained at Mowlems where he was awarded an ‘Outstanding Achievement & Excellence’ CITB award. He went on to mastermind Ashby & Horner’s flagship Norfolk Hotel refurbishment in South Kensington, and a distinguished career has included working for WIltshires, Circleworth and Archer Hoblin.
Simon has a friendly but meticulous approach. He has worked at Kier and has 28 years experience in Construction Management. He has overseen numerous flagship projects across London including the £8m refurbishment of the Stafford Hotel in St James.
Hamish Watson is a qualified Certified Accountant, and worked at Crest Nicholson. He was a founding member of Berkeley Homes, now one of Europe’s leading housebuilders, before becoming a prestigious Notting Hill developer, with a reputation for beautifully restoring and converting large unmodernised townhouses.
Capstone was established in late 2007 when Rory Watson, a Chartered Surveyor who trained at Savills, started working with one carpenter doing small residential building jobs, with a focus on earning a reputation for speed, quality and reliability.
The firm has built an enviable reputation for integrity and excellence and has completed 169 projects ranging up to £3M based on robust financial control, combined with a personable and can-do approach. The firm moved into their new office at Clarendon Cross, Notting Hill in early January 2012.
